Grabbing groceries, diapers, and a cute sweater…it all goes together when living the busy “mom life.” My favorite finds are usually the ones done with a cart full of groceries, a whiny kid and the other begging for a new toy. Target is my absolute favorite for all in one shopping. I can find an hour of peace in shopping just by buying a $1 bag of popcorn. With the kids loaded in the cart and a promise to push them through the toy section, I can get in my zone.
This sweater has been one of my most favorite finds in a while. It is super soft and comfortable and can be dressed in so many ways. Here I paired it with leather leggings and leopard wedges for a date night with my husband. But for a more casual look it could easily go with jeans and a pair of tennis shoes or flat boots. The best pieces for a busy mom are those that can be worn in so many different ways.
The Real Deal
Edward and I rarely get date nights, much less date days. We were so excited to have a sitter for one night so we could escape to my parents’ lakehouse in the mountains. The ride there is beautiful, especially in the fall, but on the last leg of the trip I usually get car sick. While winding through these roads, Edward decided to pull over for some quick pictures.
All in all, leaving the girls is always hard for me. I have to talk myself out of worrying and especially constantly talking about them. But when I get there, time alone with Edward and focusing on us is always “medicine” for our marriage.
