It’s been a privilege to partner with Macy’s to bring you the Go Red For Women national campaign! This campaign is all about inspiring women to take action for better heart health. What better place to talk about heart health than with our Red Dress Community. Since we believe in wearing “Red” in our hearts and mind, let’s get down to the details of a healthy heart.
Cardiovascular diseases are the cause of 1 in 3 deaths among women every year! Almost half of all cardiovascular related deaths are in females. It’s sad, but true! Fortunately, we can change this because 80% of cardiovascular diseases may be preventable with education and action.
Macy’s is the national founding sponsor of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women. Every dollar donated to Go Red For Women helps fund lifesaving research and awareness that adds more time to women’s lives. This campaign has raised $65 million since 2004!
So what can we do? February is American Heart Month so in support of women’s heart health you can purchase a Red Dress Pin (7 ways to wear red dress pin) from Macy’s for $3 and receive 25% off a selection of items storewide. The presale starts today, January 28th, and runs in stores January 31-February 5. You will also receive an additional Red Dress Pin to share with a friend to help spread awareness for this cause.
February 2nd is National Wear Red Day so stay tuned for more to come from Macy’s and The Red Dress. Let’s make this month about saving lives and getting serious about our health!
